What’s the difference between Portage and Payrolling?

Portage is a solution used mainly in France, where someone who should really be considered independent (many clients, short assignments, like a photographer, decorator, plumber etc) uses a portage company to invoice their various clients and put all the income generated on a single wage slip. This gives the impression that they are employed, when in reality their activity is of an independent nature.

Payrolling is a solution for white collar workers, who have a single assignment (not more than three concurrently) with a small number of clients and need to transform that income into a compliant payslip. Numeriq has the same SECO licenses as a temp recruitment company, who would find an assignment at a client and present suitable candidates, then lease those personnel to the client.

Numeriq is a pure Payroll company – we can only deal with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Temporary Workers, we don’t manage the salaries for workers whose conditions and wages aren’t compatible with the rules of Swissstaffing.
